Your-Kid-In-A-Dutch-School Dutch Course
A course for parents with a kid in the Dutch school system.
The course content will be focused on situations related to school, like parent-teacher meets, school trips, play dates from a-z, manage conflicts between children, or between teacher/child, and the relationship with fellow parents. It will cover the basic school related vocabulary, like 'taal' en 'rekenen', and vocabulary relevant to your child's social and emotional development. Also, typical 'school words' like "makkie", "vet saai", "stom", "natuurlijk" and other funny things kids come home with, like references to current popular books and toys, etc (have you heard already of 'Mees Kees'? 'Grootoogjes'? 'Freek'?). Also, we'll look at school communication, like news letters, notes, emails. From now on, eavesdropping on conversations between your kid and her friends, is allowed for educational purposes.

Start: Tuesday 6th of October
Time: 10h - 12.30h
Schedule: 8 classes of 2,5 hours each (20 hours total)
Price*: € 370,-
Participants: 4-8 persons
Homework: NO HOMEWORK!
Content: Basics of Dutch Language and grammar, focused on conversation. At home, you prepare for class by watching 2 or 3 instruction video (5 min each). In class we will practise different situations by playing games, role play, conversation exercises, guided speech and pronunciation exercises etc. Also, we'll dedicate some time each class to work on pronunciation, and on ways to overcome the shyness to actually speak Dutch.
